What type of in-kind donations do you accept and when are these donations most helpful?
Venue space for public live music programs: We are always looking for donated public performance spaces where we can deliver live music programming. Donated quality musical instruments for our Live Performance Learning Labs: ukuleles, harmonicas, and portable drum kits are a few of the instruments that we provide our participants during our multi-session music education programs. Donations of these items, as well as PAs, microphones and audio cables are much appreciated!
In addition to funding, how can someone support your organization?
Become a Musician PartnerOur mission is only possible through our talented and diverse Musician Partners, who are the foundation of all of our live music programs. While it is not a volunteer opportunity, it is our most valuable asset - and we offer our Musician Partners a monetary stipend for facilitating interactive and engaging live music programs with older adults. If you are musician and our mission resonates or inspires you, get in touch with Matt Bridges via email at matt@musicforseniors.org.
Become a Community Ambassador
We are just as passionate about advocating for and raising awareness around the issues we all face as we age, as we are serving older adults directly. Our mission calls us to engage, entertain and educate seniors through the power of live music programs - promoting health and well-being, reducing isolation, and enriching the lives of all participants. If you have ideas about how we might engage and strengthen your community more fully, reach out to connect@musicforseniors.org and let's work toward bringing those ideas to life.
