CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
The Fisk Future is in full swing and we are absolutely thrilled to announce another record-breaking fundraising year. During the 2018-2019 fiscal year, Fisk raised more than $10,700,000, which surpasses last year's record totals by close to $3,000,000. This support reflects all the amazing things that are happening on campus and the extraordinary student outcomes Fisk is delivering. Last year alone, Fisk had 9 Google interns, 5 HCA Healthcare interns, 2 Cravath, Swaine and Moore interns and a host of outstanding permanent hires and placements including at Alliance Bernstein and Amazon. Trustee Roland Parrish's exceptional gift to a new Career Building also marks a major juncture as we embark on a complete revitalization of the Fisk campus. Fisk ended the fiscal year with an operating surplus and is positioned for another great year with a record incoming class of 363 students from over 30 states. The total student count is now at 875 which is the largest student Fisk has experienced in well over a decade. We have seen a growing interest in the Fisk brand and the quality of our students continues to improve, said President Kevin D. Rome. For Nashville's oldest institution of higher learning these are truly transformational times. Fisk Forever, Juliette Pryor, Chairman of the Board of Trustees |
