Harriet's Experience: President and CEO Harriet Schiftan brings more than 25 years of non-profit experience to our cancer support community. Prior to joining Gilda's Club in September 2019, she served the Jewish Federation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee (JFNMT) from 2010-2018, where she was Associate Executive Director from 2016-2018. At JFNMT, Harriet was credited with pioneering a nationally recognized, priority-based program grant funding model. She also played a key role in helping the organization expand its reach, enabling JFNMT to serve more individuals through more programs. Harriet has been a resident of Nashville since 1999. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California; a Master of Arts in Jewish Communal Service degree from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion; and a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University. Harriet is a resident of Williamson County. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, traveling and spending time with her husband and their three adult children. |
