Description
Our 9-12 Academic Student Unions provide year-round academic case management, tutoring, small-group counseling, college visits, and STEAM enrichment to students at Stratford, Maplewood, and Hunters Lane High, three of our city's most economically disadvantaged schools. Programming is open to all students during the school day, after school, and during fall, spring, and summer breaks. Post-Secondary Success provides low-income, first-generation college students with persistence coaching and wrap-around service referrals throughout their post-secondary careers to ensure retention and degree attainment. As an Opportunity Youth Re-engagement Hub, we connect vulnerable 17-24 year olds to training and employment in a variety of in-demand industries.

Our Family Support Team is often the first place families turn for short-term crisis support, trauma-informed care, and individualized case management. Our social workers also assist with rent and utility payments, health care referrals, legal advice, bus passes, emergency food boxes, and other resources. Our Director of Community Outreach provides a variety of services through our Family Resource Center as well, including financial literacy and community advocacy workshops, service learning projects, health fairs, and dance, nutrition, and tech classes. Our Food Security Services support hungry families through a three-pronged approach: (1) emergency food boxes for residents experiencing a food crisis; (2) weekly supplemental food boxes for homebound seniors; and (3) a free weekly community meal.

Our 7-8 Academic Student Union supports Stratford Middle students in their transition to high school, helping students proactively address academic and social-emotional barriers to ensure seamless matriculation.
