Rebecca's Experience: Current Position: Medical Director, Tennessee Poison Center, Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology. Education: Yale School of Medicine, 2009, Residency Emergency Medicine: Yale New Haven Hospital, 2012; Residency Chief Resident, Emergency Medicine: Yale New Haven Hospital, 2013. Fellowship Toxicology: Boston Children's Hospital, 2015. Rebecca Bruccoleri, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and Medical Director of the Tennessee Poison Center. She is board-certified in Medical Toxicology and Emergency Medicine. She completed Emergency Medicine residency at Yale and a Medical Toxicology fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. During her final year of residency, she served as chief resident. Before coming to Vanderbilt, she was a faculty member for the Harvard Medical Toxicology Fellowship and was an attending for Medical Toxicology Service and Pediatric Environmental Health Center at Boston Children's Hospital. She also served as an attending for the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Medical Toxicology consult service. She also was an Instructor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Bruccoleri has numerous publications and published a review article regarding sodium bicarbonate therapy as a treatment for QRS widening. Her interests include medical education in Medical Toxicology and drugs/toxins that induce cardiac toxicity and their treatment. She is a reviewer for six journals: Clinical Toxicology, Journal of Medical Toxicology, Pediatric Emergency Care, Pediatrics, BMJ Case Reports, and the International Journal of Emergency Medicine. While a fellow, she was the fellow-in-training editorial board member of the Journal of Medical Toxicology. |
