CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
Nashville Singers has been providing music education, performing, recording, and leadership opportunities to area adults and youth since 2008. Through 120+ appearances, our music performances have impacted over 50,000+ people in 11 counties across Tennessee. The reach of our music education programs includes hundreds of students at numerous schools and nonprofits across Middle Tennessee, as well as student choirs from Rochester NY, Cleveland OH, and Meredith NH. Our youth programs and resources target "at risk" youth in Middle Tennessee. In 2012, we began offering an annual college scholarship to graduating seniors pursuing a music education degree. The hallmark of our success has been careful planning, innovative and visionary thinking, hard work, and a commitment to our philanthropic mission to provide resources and support for music education in our schools and the community. Fulfilling our vision will require a significant infusion of financial resources. We thank you for your consideration so that we may provide future generations with the opportunity to have their lives enriched by music and the performing arts. As group singing during the global Covid-19 pandemic is considered a "high risk" activity, our ensemble has been on hiatus since March of 2020. It is not yet clear when it will be considered safe to resume rehearsing and performing. |
Foundation Staff Comments
This organization filed a 990-N form with the IRS, which does not provide specific financial information. Most small tax-exempt organizations whose annual gross receipts are normally $50,000 or less ($25,000 for tax years ending after December 31, 2007 and before December 31, 2010) are required to electronically submit Form 990-N, also known as thee-Postcard, unless they choose to file a complete Form 990 or Form 990-EZ instead.
