CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
WFSK has 2-full-time staff and is only funded at that level by Fisk University. Station management must be equipped with the professional broadcasting knowledge of all facets of the industry. With this challenge multiple skills-sets are used daily to keep the 24/7 operation going. As an FCC licensed radio station, that is required. Those include but are not limited to: fundraising and sponsorship, programming (creation & implementation), music (format and flow), production, traffic & copywriting, news/talk/sports, public affairs/public relations (health & safety informational campaigns, etc.), marketing and imaging, and technology. |
