Ahmed's Experience: The Board and staff of Smithson Craighead Academy, the very first charter school in the State of Tennessee, is excited to welcome the new leadership of Mr. Ahmed White. Mr. White is a long-tenured and very successful principal that obtained his Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Union University, M.Ed. in Administration & Supervision from Tennessee State University, and a B.A. in Political Science from Fisk University. Mr. White served as the Executive Principal at Thomas William Hunter Middle School for 8 years. Under his leadership, students and teachers thrived and TWH Middle School achieved extremely high literacy and math scores. Specifically, student literacy achievement jumped nearly 10% to 73.5% and student numeracy achievement soared by almost 20% to 72%. |
