The 8-hour classes cover pre-purchase how-to's like assessing buying power and avoiding predatory loans, as well as post-purchase information such as the importance of home maintenance and budgeting. Because classes are offered free-of-charge to participants, Homebuyer Education is one of AHR's main funding needs.

AHR's housing development has had a major impact in some of Nashville's poorest communities and has received national attention.
