CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
Home Bound Meals Program is an all volunteer organization using at least 16 persons (5 servers and 11 or more drivers)2hours each day, 5 days a week 52 weeks a year to distribute meals to needy and disabled persons. Volunteers are recruited through churches, civic clubs and by word of mouth (including newspapers). During 2021, our volunteers delivered an average of 130 meals each day. We have an adequate base of volunteers, but constantly need additional persons to volunteer as the number of clients grows. We continue to face the challenges of increased cost of food. The number of clients we can serve is only limited by the funding available to provide the meals. |
