NECAT's board is appointed by the Mayor of Nashville. Board terms are 3 years and renewable. The CEO and board can present potential board members at any time for consideration by the Mayor's office. We have a very good working relationship with our counterparts in the Mayor's office and they have been very supportive of our new challenges in light of the Comcast funds being restricted to capital. They understand the need for future board members who are accustomed to fundraising in corporate, foundation, and personal environments and who have professional expertise supporting our growth and work. The category above labeled 'Other Board Members' refers to additional advisors for NECAT. They are not board members, but rather professionals who have also shared their knowledge and experience with Trish through a second advisory board we affectionately call 'The TV Set'.
