Lorraine's Experience: The SCSNC is led entirely by the Board of Directors, who are all volunteers. We do not have any paid staff at this time. Lorraine Looney is the Founder of the organization and the President of the Board of Directors. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has worked in the field of mental health for the past 16 years, all for nonprofit agencies. Her Masters Degree in Social Work gave her the unique combination of training and skills to be able to practice via individual clinical work as well as via mezzo and macro advocacy work. All of the members of our Board of Directors are either individuals with disabilities, parents or family members of individuals with disabilities, or are professionals in the field. Several members meet more than one of these criteria. |
