Mission

To provide financial assistance relief for single working mothers, whose income disqualifies them for government assistance.

Background

Hope Station is a non-profit organization founded to assist single working mothers who are overqualified for government assistance. Because working women are sometimes overlooked when they need assistance because of their income, Hope Station may be there for them. We offer a hand up not a handout. Through this, we attempt to restore hope in the moment of helplessness. Allow her to focus on the blessings of being a mother. The Hope Station, Inc is a non-profit organization situated in Nashville, Tennessee serving clients in Davidson and Rutherford counties. This
assistance impacts every part of the family's lives, including reducing stress and anxiety, improving interpersonal relationships, and performance at work
and school.
Our goal is to provide more than just financial assistance. We partner with a local agency to teach our clients how to budget, save, pay off debt, and
restore. Through a relationship with Healing Trust, we also fund mental wholeness counseling for our clients. Clients are eligible for a minimum of eight sessions at no cost.

Impact

Since 2016, We have been able to assist over 1500 women and children with mortgage/rental assistance and utility payments in Rutherford and Davidson counties. We are looking to assist 120 women in the upcoming year through our legacy program. We also desire to provide 8 mental health counseling sessions to at least 100 women.

Needs

Hope Station would like to assist single mothers that are experiencing homelessness by providing a housing source to single mothers and their minor children. We would like to start the Hope Rapid Rehousing program, which will be designed to move single mothers with unstable housing quickly into permanent housing through relocation and stabilization service. We recognize the need in both Rutherford and Davidson Counties and we would like to be a resource to help eliminate that.

CEO Statement

Hope Station in a unique program because we focus on a segment of the community that sometimes is forgotten about. They make too much money for assistance from the government and there is no assistance there. Yet they still fall short of their obligations. It could be something that happens in their life unexpected such as car repair or deductible for a sick child most of us do not have extra money just lying around. Hope Station will attempt to relive that temporary crisis. We are unique because of their qualifications.
