Mission

Our mission is to serve the children of military personnel who have lost their lives on active duty while defending the United States of America. ASC has three points of service for the children of our fallen: birthday celebrations, mentorship programs/camps, and college scholarships. Our vision is to grow nationally, becoming a household name as the gold standard for our Gold Star families. Providing an opportunity for lifelong touch-points so that ASC recipients will say it is an honor to be A Soldier's Child.

Background

A Soldier's Child Birthday Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to keeping the legacy of the fallen soldier alive by celebrating the birthday of his or her children. U.S. Marine Staff Sgt. Marcus Andrew "Marc" Golczynski wrote in a letter to his mother shortly before he died in combat: 'We are warriors? we fight and sometimes die so that our families don't have to? Stand beside us.' As citizens of the United States of America, we are forever indebted to the men and women of our military who so unselfishly gave their lives to protect our freedoms. It is our objective through "A Soldiers Child" to communicate to the children left behind that the memory of their parent will not fade away. We want them to know that there are many Americans who are forever grateful for their parent's sacrifice. It is with humbleness in heart that we aim to honor the memory of the parent by giving a meaningful gift on the birthday of his/her son or daughter.

Impact

A Soldier's Child currently serves over 4,000 children in the 50 states and Puerto Rico. We anticipate serving 4,500 children by the end of 2022.
