Mission

Preparing today's youth to be tomorrow's leaders

Background

Youth Changes was founded on February 1 2007, in the Nashville, Tennessee area by Mr. Sherron Davis. His main goal is to change the way all people who are growing up in today's society. Life is full of challenges but it is up to you to change with the proper tools of your profession. These changes can and will be meaningful to your life! Through effective education, time and determination, job training and placement and life skills counseling (emotional and social), we can better secure youth opportunities for success.

Impact

Supportive Living Program: We are licensed in the State of Tennessee to provide supportive housing for those with intellectual disabilities. We have opened up multiple residential care homes for affordable living supporting those who are mentally ill. Because finding affordable housing for those who are mentally ill is one of the top issues the State of Tennessee is focused on, Teia Davis, a local realtor and President of the organization, through a collaboration with Mental Health Co-Op and the State of Tennessee Intellectual and Development Disabilities, finds housing to support this population

H.E.R.E Mentor Program: Our H.E.R.E. program is a curriculum designed to develop various life skills needed to become a positive, capable, and upstanding member of society. This program includes awareness and prevention programs dealing with gangs, alcohol, and substance abuse, conflict management, and self-esteem. We are currently in early collaborations with Kenwood High School in Clarksville, TN, RePublic High School, in Nashville, TN, and Jere Baxter Middle School in Nashville, TN, to bring this program to all students attending these three schools and will be facilitating this program to approximately 7500 students in groups of 25-30 students per session.

Needs

Youth Changes (www.youthchanges.org) is in need of building renovation assistance, Educational Computer Software, Office and classroom/workshop furniture, and constant prayers.
