Description
In 2019, TECA plans to launch its hallmark program: the Tennessee Educators of Color Fellowship in Middle Tennessee. TECA will select a pilot cohort of 10-12 Fellows, who are current classroom teachers of color, by May 2019. They will receive approximately 30 hours of professional development throughout the year-long Fellowship. The intent is to scale the Fellowship across the state to include both West and East Tennessee for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Description
DiversifiED is a full one-day conference designed for teachers, preservice students, teacher educators, education advocates, and anyone who values a diverse educator workforce in Tennessee. Participants gain insight and learn best practices from national, state, and local leaders in the field.

As a nascent organization, many of the programs that we are developing will launch this year. Currently, with only a working board, this has limited our capacity to initiate some programming. It is our hope that we are able to secure support that allows our organization to be sustainable.
