Description
The Birth mother support ministry is open to any woman who has voluntarily placed a child for adoption at any point in her life with any agency or attorney. It is our goal to give birth mothers a safe, confidential place to share their story and their experiences without fear of judgement or condemnation. By connecting with other woman and their shared experiences they find hope and healing.
Program Successes
To date we have served 25 woman through this ministry. One of these woman had placed a child for adoption 25 years prior to attending our meeting. No one outside of her immediate family knew of her adoption decision. She carried guilt and shame over her decision, her inability to be a parent to her child at that time, and the events surrounding her unexpected pregnancy. As she was able to share and connect with other birth mothers, she realized that she didn't have to carry that guilt and shame. She was able to lay those feels down and walk in the joy that her child was alive, thriving, and had a loving mother and father who were able to care for him in a way that she was not at the time.

Long-term Success
Many woman who have chosen a loving, life-giving option for the child walk with the burden of shame and guilt. This shame and guilt lead to unhealthy behaviors. It is our hope that birth mothers will find healing and confidence in their decision. We desire to see them whole and free to make positive relationship choices, and fully able to achieve the goals and dreams they have for their life.

Description
Our birth parent/family support program exists to inform and assist birth families in making a life-giving plan for their unexpected pregnancy or parenting hardship. We are dedicated to honoring a family's choice and provide them with counseling, support, and connection to needed resources including assistance with housing needs, food, transportation, and job assistance to move forward in a parenting or adoption plan. Hope Center offers each family post-support through a quarterly birth mother support group, mentoring opportunities, and counseling.
Program Successes
In 2020, Hope Center was approached by a young woman experiencing a parenting hardship. Through the information and counseling Hope Center provided, she made the decision to place her pre-school aged child for adoption. As we helped her to create her adoption plan, we were also able to help her set goals for her future which included education goals, housing goals, and job related goals. As Hope Center has been able to walk with the birth mother through her first year, post-adoption, we have seen her grow in her confidence in her decision and obtain several of the goals that she set for herself.

Description
Our Domestic Adoption program includes services to adoptive families including but not limited to adoption counseling, home study services, adoption education, legal services, pre and post adoption support through counseling, advocacy, and education. As an agency, we strive to provide these resources at well below the national average cost of adoption services in the U.S, allowing more families to realize their dreams through adoption, and removing the financial burden often incurred through this process.
Program Successes
In April 2020, a young couple who had given birth to a medically fragile child contacted our agency for the purpose of adoption. This couple lived in another state, but wanted their child to grow up in their hometown. As we counseled them and assisted them in making their adoption plan, this couple choose a Hope Center waiting family. The family they chose had struggled for many years through the pain and loss of infertility. Once they heard about their son, their were over-joyed. Within days they traveled to meet him, and to be with him for a lengthy hospital stay during the national pandemic. After many weeks, they finally traveled home with their son and continued medical treatments for him. Today, he is a healthy, bright, thriving little boy in a stable home. He has overcome many of his medical diagnosis due to the care and love his parents are providing for him. They have even decided to adopt a second child through Hope Center!
