The Children's Center for Autism's mission is to help young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders in South Central Middle Tennessee realize their full potential through individualized and collaborative treatment. The CCA provides individualized intervention in a structured setting for children ages 18 months through twelve years old addressing communication, social skills, school readiness skills, and behavioral concerns. All services provided are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. We hold the belief that for skills to be truly meaningful to a child's life they must be able to be used in more than one setting, and therefore parent/family training is a key component of this program.

Approximately 650 infants and toddlers with a qualifying disability and/or developmental delay receive early intervention services each year through the Child Development Center program. In-person and/or virtual services are provided within the child and family's natural environment, including within their home or child care program. Parents and other caregivers are active participants in all intervention services as degreed CDC staff coach parents as they discover ways to incorporate learning opportunities into their daily routines and activities. The early intervention program in each county is part of an interagency community which provides a collaborative approach to addressing the needs of young children and their families.
