In addition to funding, how can someone support your organization?
Vision 2020 Inc exists because of the support of the community through volunteers and her financial supporters. Hands on volunteers work with Community events such as the Folk Medicine Festival and the Cathie and Troy Johnson 5K Run/Walk.The Step Back in Time Shop is home to a showcase for area talent, musicians, singer/songwriters, poets, storytellers.
The Heritage Museum project requires volunteers for stabilization of the building and renovations, collecting of historic stories and relics, creating and maintaining data bases. In the future more volunteers will be needed for planning and creating exhibits.The production of the annual 50s Party and Cake Walk and Auction', that is held as a fundraiser for the Museum is only possible because of our volunteers baking cakes, making ice cream gathering auction items as well as publicizing the event and working that day. The Annual Folk Medicine Festival utilizes volunteer help in programming, publicity, performance, organization and other ways.The Walking Quilt Trail, that spans the park system downtown, uses the talents of local artists and woodworkers. Vision 2020 receives financial support throughmembership dues, donations through the mail, donations through on-line campaign gofundme.comdonations taken up during eventssale of history book, 'Simple Pleasures, a History of Red Boiling Springs during the Resort Era.
