CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments

Our active voting board is currently undergoing an influx of new expertise and talent and we are focused on strengthening our Board governance processes (we updated our bylaws and are focusing on robust succession planning at the Board and staff levels) and our Board recruiting practices, We elected Lucia Folk as our new Board Chair and Mackenzie Koupal (CFO / CPA) as our Board Treasurer in June 2022 to guide us through the executive transition from our founder to an interim executive leader. We are focused on stability and continuity of the organization overall and of our programs as we manage through this transition. We believe we have put in place the right expertise at the Board and at the Interim Executive Director levels to ensure those outcomes are true. We have also added new Board members who have extensive music industry, healthcare and legal connectivity and expertise. Our Advisory Board remains an important resource of individual talent we can call upon.
