CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
In 2017 and 2018 TAL took on a Decentralization Plan. In this plan specified Board officers oriented to and then took on tasks that had been carried out by a paid TL staff member. The full-time cost of the staff member was $700/month. The Staff member had been responsible for all fiscal operations, as well as management of the member information spreadsheet. A Board position of TAL treasurer was created. Stephanie Helmey oriented to the fiscal operations of the organization and when she and the former fiscal manager, Trin Blakely were satisfied that the information had been understood. Mrs. Blakely ended her decades of stellar service to TAL, and Mrs. Helmey accepted the records, software and passed knowledge, and took up the treasurer's role. As for all Board Officers the role of Treasurer is an unpaid volunteer position. |
