Steven's Experience: Steven Young is formerly homeless himself, having spent nearly 5 years surviving on the streets of Nashville. Also an abuse survivor, Steven has turned his personal pain into a calling and passion for serving others who are traveling a similar road and experiencing similar obstacles. His 'lived it' experience gives him unique insight and leadership qualities that are rarely found in this arena. He also has many years experience as a successful small business owner. He is a published author and public speaker that has shared his story of overcoming all odds and his testimony of redemption and Gods grace and love to audiences from the corporate, civic, religious, educational, private and public sectors. In a little more than a year he has taken a grass roots effort started by 3 friends into a fully operational non-profit ministry, staffed completely by volunteers, that is the largest in-the-field homeless outreach organization in Nashville. |
