Mission

The mission of Pass the Beauty is to support women, children, and families who are victims and survivors of violence while utilizing and leveraging community partnerships and community networks. The Voices on Violence walk aims to provide awareness on how violence can impact children, while also encouraging positive and supportive factors for children. As research shows (Child Welfare), the more positive networks and connections that children who are victims of violence can have, the higher the opportunities for them to build resilience. There are many important programs and projects that focus on women victims of violence. The non-offending mothers, guardians, and caregivers of these kids are essential to enhancing the positive factors for children.

Impact

How does this project, program or asset help your company's vision and mission? In Metro Nashville, law enforcement respond to a domestic violence call every 20 minutes. 1 out of 4 women are affected by Domestic Violence. 1 out of 15 kids are witnesses to such abuse. There is a strong need for support around children who a part of homes and members of families that are affected by abuse. Pass the Beauty brings in a positive and uplifting focus on empowering the youth of local communities through activities that are desired from the communities that Pass the Beauty works with.

Needs

Pass the Beauty is in the process of fundraising and seeking other forms of support through grants, sponsorships, donations volunteers and community. Though, this is in the beginning stages, the founder of Pass the Beauty, is actively seeking out opportunities for financial partnership.
