Mission
The Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics is committed to being a leading voice, advocate and authority for the physical, mental and social welfare of infants, children and adolescents, as well as the pediatricians who care for them.
Background
The TNAAP has a 30+ year history of working in a public/private partnership with state government, state-wide and local nonprofit organizations, and foundations to meet the educational needs of pediatric professionals and the public as well as to accomplish public health goals. With our experienced staff, an established organizational infrastructure, and our expertise in medical education, the TNAAP strives to improve the health and well-being of Tennessee's children and their families. TNAAP represents over 1,000 pediatricians in Tennessee.
Impact
The chapter implements programs across the state that are in concert with our mission and meet community needs. All programs funded through the chapter utilize and employ the expertise and passions of pediatricians. These pediatricians serve as champions in delivering community programs, applying strategies to meet and exceed goals and objectives.
