Mission

Our mission is operating under the direction of the Holy Spirit! VOTM will be known as a catalyst in the community to assist wherever the greatest need may be. We seek to bring healing to our community, equality, and unification. We want to partner with our community, city official, and government officials as well. As the adage said, "It takes a village to raise a child." VOTM will always extend an olive branch to our community!

Background

VOTM is a faith-based organization established in 2010 after our CEO/President and her daughter experienced homelessness and no one to help. VOTM wants to be that beckon of light to compel individuals or families that there's help for you and without the long-drawn-out rigorous paperwork. VOTM wants our clients to have a sense of privacy when they come to the center for assistance. No one is privy to their information but their representative or a designated person. VOTM is about providing aid to everyone, and it's not based upon a certain religious group. Needing help has no denominations or religious beliefs. Every person who enters our doors will feel loved, respect, and receive fair and equitable treatment across the board. VOTM has partnered with other churches to assist the community, and we look forward to collaborating with other organizations with the same goal of community satisfation.

Impact

We have hosted for the last seven years straight our "Come Shop and have Lunch on us for Free Clothes Drive Giveaway!' We have also held several revivals for a time of edification, exhortation, and comfort to individuals and families during difficult times and seasons. We plan workshops and have guest speakers to speak on different topics dealing with spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, and financial needs. We also have given away gift cards for $25.00 during our events. We host youth rally for our young people for q&a time to discuss bullying, stress, family issues, peer pressure, and academic concerns. We schedule movie nights for the whole family. For 2021 fall, we are planning a game night, a bible bowl tournament, and back to schools supplies giveaway. We hope to open the Fountain Center, which would assist individuals and families in times of emergency and hardship. We also want to offer a career center, tutoring for school-age and adults who need an assistant. Opening the Fountain Center will create jobs in our community and the surrounding Middle TN areas.

Needs

Dear Future Sponsor,

In the past two years, I am sure, many have cried more times than they care to remember. While I believe there is a shift taking place, in the midst of such, think we all can use a little bit of laughter in our lives during this time of change and amidst challenges.

I am Carolyn J Leigh, Ed.D., President of Voice Of Thunder Ministry, Inc 501c3 nonprofit organization, Nashville, TN. We seek sponsorship for our upcoming Comedy Show (clean) Fundraising Event on June 17, 2022. This fundraising event will be the kickstart to aid with our dream project, The Fountain Center. TFC is a financial emergency center for individuals and families needing assistance during an economic crisis. We are seeking to raise $100,000 by October 31, 2022.

Laughter is the medicine we all need a dose of daily! We request sponsors to assist with the venue, marketing, flight, hotel, transportation, and meals for the Comedy Show. Your sponsorship would bring joy to the hearts of many who feel there is no hope. We appreciate your consideration.

Our vocation is to do the will of God by surveying and helping to meet the needs of the community. We are an organization that truly exemplifies integrity, core values, and biblical principles without compromising the Gospel of Jesus Christ. VOTM is not just a ministry that just represents the Kingdom of God, but we are God's chosen instrument for this end-time season. VOTM is about serving, helping, and creating an atmosphere conducive to all God's children, no matter their color or age. As the CEO of VOTM, I am speaking not only from the heart but from experiences. I know what it's like to be without food, shelter, unemployed, and not a helping hand insight.
