Description
AMAC's goal is to develop a network of youth leaders across the state. In Middle Tennessee, AMAC's Youth Leadership Program teaches high schoolers and college students about issues affecting them and organizing skills needed to address those issues. Participants must learn an issue and then brainstorm and lead a program to address that issue. AMAC's Youth Committee brings youth leaders from across the state to work together on events

Description
AMAC's goal is to connect more Muslims in West Tennessee to available resources through the Muslim Resource Services(MRS) in order to create a thriving community. MRS includes a confidential hotline and provides monthly webinars highlighting a resources service in the community. The March webinar highlighted financial counseling programs and free tax services in Memphis and Nashville. MRS has partnered with local mosques in Memphis to make sure the community members know how to contact MRS to find resources they need such as financial support, legal aid, education resources, domestic abuse, and more. AMAC also connects people to resources in Middle Tennessee.

Description
-AMAC is working to ensure the Muslims are being vaccinated by promoting vaccine readiness through accurate information about the vaccines and arranging vaccination clinics at area mosques. Already in 2021, we have had webinars on vaccine safety and debunking myths in English and Somali and helped arrange for 3 rounds of vaccines at two local mosques, Salahadeen Center of Nashville and Islamic Center of Tennessee. plans to continue to provide up to date information on financial resources available through covid relief programs, protective measures against covid and covid vaccines through our website, social media and newsletters. We provide mosques in Middle Tennessee information to share out with the community. We will continue to lead efforts to address food insecurity in our communities.

Description
Although Muslim women make up half the community members, they are not as well informed or involved in the issues affecting their communities. Through the annual Empowering Women Conference, AMAC seeks to bring Muslim women of all backgrounds across Tennessee together to learn about the issues affecting their communities and how to become actively involved in solving those issues. AMAC creates the space for women to discuss topics not normally covered at Islamic Centers and become more civically engaged.

To promote civic engagement in the Muslim community, AMAC will conduct voter registration across the state, connect the Muslim community with the candidates through forums and candidate fairs, provide transportation for early voting and educate community members on local, state and national issues.

In the morning, AMAC will explain the bills currently in the legislature that may be of concern to the Muslim community. Then, the attendees can go meet their legislators and discuss the bills.
