Description
Track and Field is an individual sport as well as a team sport and has something for everyone, regardless of experience, size, gender, speed or muscular strength; there are many different events for every person. Trial by Fire Youth Track & Field Club overall mission is to encourage healthy habits and physical fitness among youth through the healthy sport of running. Our goal is to introduce the fundamentals of running, throwing, and jumping to beginners and develop and refine the more experienced student-athlete's overall skills in the sport of track and field. We are motivated toward encouraging young people to recognize the benefits of track and field as a way to stay fit and living a physically active lifestyle. Equally important, TBF "Trailblazers" emphasizes the value of good sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, personal goal setting and hard work. During the spring and summer seasons, each student-athlete will have an opportunity to train and compete in all aspects of track and field. Typically practice sessions starts in April, track meets in May through July, and the season usually finishes with athletes qualifying for the National Junior Olympic Championship Games.
