Description
To facilitate educational seminars on financial literacy and employability skills and prevention seminars to Juniors and Seniors at title one high schools. We will also continue to have prevention seminars at our basketball showcase fundraising event for the players participating in the showcase. Shane Foster from MEND and Judge Sheila Calloway are some of the speakers from 2017 and have signed on to come back for 2018. They discussed statistics regarding percentage of college grads versus men in jail, statistics of drop outs and the choices for uneducated or degree deficient people, the need for dependence on education and not sports or athletic prowess will help teach them how to prevent being involved in situations that result in their loss of liberty as well as loss of ability to reach their maximum potential.
