CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments

Lipscomb sees challenges and opportunities in several areas: (1) Distance education. How will we approach a higher education environment where 'place' and the traditional college experience in terms of student life are not a part of an education anymore. (2) As institutions of higher education more and more abdicate their role in building character as part of a complete education, how will we continue to do so with strength, vigor and purpose. (3) Lipscomb has a stellar reputation in its ability to prepare, especially in pre-med, accounting and secondary education. And we live in one of the health care centers of the world. How do we build programs that will deepen the talent pool in our area that will help fuel the quality of life we enjoy in this area. (4) Our graduates are changing lives and futures in many, many ways. How do we continue to provide the kind of faith-based, future-focused, service-minded education in the face of rising costs and pressure on higher education to cut back, not move forward?
