Description
Educational and interpretive programming is a vital part of our mission to share the stories of Andrew Jackson and his impact on our nation. The guest experience includes interacting with our award winning museum exhibit, 'Andrew Jackson: Born for a Storm,' viewing a short film in the Andrew Jackson Center, interpreter-led tours of the Hermitage mansion and self-guided tours of the grounds, gardens, enslaved quarters and archaeological sites. Specialty tours are available including "In Their footsteps: Lives of the Hermitage Enslaved Tour," "Commander in Chief Tour," and the "VIP Tour." Award-winning interpretive programming, such as "The Duel: Art of the Southern Gentleman" and "Wager to Win: Art of the Southern Gentleman," provide an immersive experience for guests to further explore the themes and culture of Jacksonian America. Andrew Jackson's Hermitage is open for tours daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
