Description
Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is a leader in pediatric patient care, research and training, and currently has 10 of the possible 10 specialty programs nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report magazine. The hospital is also ranked nationally by Parents magazine. We care for children regardless of their families' ability to pay. With more than 400 physicians trained in 30 pediatric and surgical specialties, the 267-bed hospital provides the highest level of pediatric health care services and is also a top-tier teaching and research facility. Children's Hospital is currently undergoing construction to meet the current and future needs of patients and families. The expansion includes four new floors, bringing the total footprint to over 1 million square feet. Children's Hospital features Centers of Excellence for the treatment of diabetes and congenital heart disorders, and also offers comprehensive services for other childhood diseases such as cancer, organ and bone marrow transplants, Level 1 pediatric trauma, sickle cell disease and developmental disorders, and is home to a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit, the highest designated level of neonatal care.

Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) is a leader in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The center's world-renowned team of experts provides an integrated, personalized and patient-centered approach to cancer care, including treatment, research, support, education and outreach. From a wide variety of wellness programs to a leading REACH for Survivorship Clinic, patients find support from diagnosis through survivorship. VICC is a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only one in Tennessee serving both adult and pediatric patients to earn this highest distinction. VICC ranks in the top 10 nationwide for cancer research grant support.
