Assistance is provided by an application process and is limited to $150 per animal whenever funds are available. In addition to vet expenses, we pay pull fees to kill shelters so adoptable animals will not be euthanized. Also, we frequently collaborate with other organizations to pool resources and find solutions for expensive, life-saving treatments that go beyond our finding capability.

| The number of requests for Veterinary Assistance continue to increase. So many animals need help and it is our profound hope that we will always have the funds to give financial assistance. A volunteer board member monitors the help line 24/7. An application is completed by everyone who requests funds. A short bio and picture of the animal we helped are posted to our Facebook page. We have recently started following up with all owners to see how the animal is progressing. It is a challenge to raise funds for this program because many granting organizations do not give grants to programs who in turn give grants. Public support is our primary source of funds for this program. |
