Nashville Neighbors aims to serve newly arrived refugee families by pairing them with teams from the community, primarily recruited from the local church. With help from interpreters, small groups of volunteers teach basic health education to refugee families within their homes over a 6-month period with an intentional focus on fostering relationships and creating a broader social network and support system for the refugees.

Siloam's community health efforts seek to provide opportunities for immigrants and refugees to take ownership of their health. In our unique Community Health Worker (CHW) program, CHWs serve as health ambassadors in their communities to help fellow immigrants navigate health and social service systems, address the root causes of disease, and strengthen social capital. We manage two versions of the program: Comprehensive Care, which focuses on chronic disease and mental health concerns among Siloam patients, and Rapid Response, which focuses on support for Davidson County households affected by COVID and COVID testing and vaccine education.

The mission of Siloam Health is to share the love of Christ by serving those in need through health care. This statement summarizes well what Siloam is all about. God's love welcomes. It listens. It cares. It makes whole. At Siloam Health, loving health care also means excellent health care. We have leveraged the expertise of highly qualified staff and volunteers to care for underserved, culturally marginalized patients in our diversifying city for 30 years. And Nashville is a better community for it.
