Programs

Budget
$250,000.00
Description
This program is designed to engage all the communities of Nashville. It is designed as an 18-month process that will leverage local peer nonprofits and other critical partners to listen to residents' concerns over mobility and present potential projects to ease challenges.

By listening to and engaging with those who live, work, and play in Nashville, we expect to gain a deeper understanding of real mobility challenges. Additionally, it presents opportunities for community members to actively engage in helping design creative solutions to those challenges. This is the only way we can arrive at potential projects that could build a better Nashville for all.

Program Successes
It began with a conversation and a pilot program. After the pilot, it was decided that the members of N2N liked the experience so much that they would like to host another NTI in 2021. We are currently in the process of planning that program.

CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments

If Transit Alliance is a superhero, the TCLA is our superpower. It gives attendees first-hand access to resource and information critical to forming realistic opinions to become resident experts on transportation options in the region. Educating residents about how road, infrastructure, and transit projects are selected and funding is paramount if we are to successfully move forward with a plan to intentionally address our mobility needs. Often, people don't know what they don't know. The TCLA is square one: understand the issue holistically. Then, move toward agreeing upon a solution that will work for our commuities.
