Description
Jobs for Life will be facilitated by Feliscia A. Penn. The classes will be held on Tuesdays noon till 1:30 pm. We will be teaching a Bible-based curriculum centered on the program 'Jobs for Life'. The purpose of the class is to walk through a step by step, intentional course that not only ensures that the student is interview-ready, but works on building professional character. The curriculum includes proper professional attire, job-search tactics, resume writing, and how to conduct oneself during the interview process. The Jobs for Life course will be hosted at Southside Community Church 2080 12th Avenue South.

Description
Our Step by Step Support Group will be facilitated by Pastor Dianne Bates, our weekly meetings will convene at St. Luke P.B. Church, 135 Lewis Street, Nashville, TN 37203. Step by Step is a biblically faith based support group where we assist individuals who suffer from the disease of addiction or any other debilitating life challenges. By sharing our personal experiences, strengths, and hope, teaching individuals how to live sober and productive lifestyles. We also teach individuals about forgiveness and acceptance from others. Exposing participants to healthy ways of loving themselves, this in turn will empower them to love others. Our goal is to prepare individuals to deal with life on life's term and learn how to make wise decision's within life's real challenges.

Thanksgiving Holiday 2016-Feed over 800 lower income families.
Christmas Holiday 2016-Distributed over 200 scarves, hats, gloves, and coats to needy families.
Our goal for the upcoming year is to continue to meet the needs of our economically disadvantaged & homeless individuals & families in our communities.
75% of our participants indicate that New Life support the participant through prayer and counseling
15% of our participants have left jail and with the support of New Life Jobs for Life Program they are now working full time jobs.
15% of our participants are enrolled in our GED Pre-prep Course
10% of our participants are enrolled in our Life Principles/Recovery Course

Description
Life Principle courses will be facilitated by Feliscia Penn, weekly meetings will convene at St. Luke Church on Thursday 7-8 pm. Our Life Principle courses will embrace and guide individuals into taking control of their future by teaching them how to set specific goals for their lives and learn the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships. We will intentionally focus on behavioral modifications, personal growth, and how to overcome the hurdles of depression, suicide, etc. We also will offer 1 on 1 counseling.
Elder Dianne Bates will facilitate our Step by Step Recovery Support Group on Thursday evenings 7-8 pm

Description
The Pre GED preparation class will be instructed by Feliscia A. Penn. The course seeks to provide personal and individual attention to participants who wants to prepare to take the GED course. Pre GED is geared toward individuals who have been out of school for several years and need an intensive review of the basic content areas. The course content includes the following: Math, English, Grammar, Reading, Writing and Science. These classes will be held weekly at Southside Community Church-2080 12th Avenue South on Thursday 4-6 pm.
