CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments

"The dream to make this a bigger platform and to help students can be a challenge when it comes to funds. Director Gordon, does a wonderful job leading these kids to college auditions, supporting them along the way. While putting events together to make it happen. Looking into opportunities like this one to help make this organization be all that it can be." - Lawerence III, Board Vice President

"The challenges I see is the lack of practice space in which the youth can use. The very establishment that were put in our community to use is not available to / for the youth. Also the funding for the kids. Most of the kids are from low income families and the parents cant afford the basic things the child needs to do what's except or require of them." - Beard, Community Leader - Board Member

" As this Organization is still blossoming into its full potential, like any parent you will do everything you can to make sure that your baby is successful. On many occasions anything that has been done for Dare 2 Dream, its Scholarship Recipients and the Scholarships, the Dancing Amongst the Stars Awards Baquet , Dream College Tours and the Manuel upkeep of the paper work and IRS has come from my own personal paycheck, Yes there is little funds brought in from fundraising, but its not nearly a third of what was put in. So, the challenge for me as a parent, a director and CEO is to stop and smell the roses, its okay to ask for help its okay to seek funding or donors, OPM (others peoples money) I had a Nonprofit Management professor and a special guest speaker in class one day tell my class " you can't or won't get anyone to fund your organization until you have successfully ran the company for 3-5 years Donors and Corporations want to see what can you do on your own before they invest in you!" That statement alone has scared mre from trying to obtain any help or resources and scarred the organization from where it could be and the amount of people that we could be helping and the services that could be offered. " - Gordon , CEO and President

Foundation Staff Comments

This organization filed a 990-N form with the IRS, which does not provide specific financial information. Most small tax-exempt organizations whose annual gross receipts are normally $50,000 or less are required to electronically submit Form 990-N, also known as the e-Postcard, unless they choose to file a complete Form 990 or Form 990-EZ instead.
