CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
| The biggest challenge facing the AEWorks board at present is the fact that we all come from academia or the for-profit business worlds, which leaves the non-profit landscape a bit of a mystery. Budgets are much smaller and operating on donations and fundraising instead of profit margin is a new experience for most of us. In response to this lack of knowledge we are educating ourselves through classes and seminars and will continue to do so in the future. Four of us have taken classes on fundraising with one receiving a certification in fundraising and another in grant writing. As time permits we will all complete some classes. |
