Maya's Experience: Greg Thompson is the CEO for The Tennessee Charter School Center. Prior to joining the Center, Mr. Thompson was the Education Program Director for the Hyde Family Foundations where he oversaw the Foundation's K-12 education portfolio which included over 15 charter schools, the Tennessee Charter Schools Association, the Jubilee Schools, New Leaders, Teach for America, the New Teacher Project, and Building Excellent Schools. Prior to joining Hyde, Mr. Thompson participated in the Education Pioneers Program and was a Summer Fellow with a San Francisco-based charter management organization, Envision Schools. Mr. Thompson's previous experience also includes working in the sports technology and media sector with XOS Technologies and Investment Banking as an analyst with Morgan Keegan & Company. Mr. Thompson received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Tennessee, graduating summa cum laude and earning the Top Graduating Senior award for the College of Business, and then earned his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. |
