| Quanie's Experience: Quanie Clendening, founder of The Build Up Foundation is a Nashville native that attended Metro Nashville Public Schools. Quanie went on to graduate from Tennessee State University (Cum Laude) with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. He also received his MBA with a concentraion in Leadership & Management from Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville. He operated one of the most successful independent entertainment companies in the history of Nashville. He has dedicated his life to serving the inner city community, in which he comes from for more than 20 years. His personal story of overcoming the same challenges many youth in the low income areas are currently faced with is often used as a story of hope by the families in the communities he serves. The hands on relationships he has nurtured with the families in the Nashville inner city cannot be measured but is easily displayed when watching him interact with them daily. The combination of his life experiences of growing up in an economically challenged environment and his education makes him a great leader for his organization and the cause he passionately serves. |
