Melanie's Experience: Melanie Shinbaum is the Chief Executive Officer at St. Luke's Community House and joined the team in November of 2019, bringing with her over 20 years of nonprofit experience. Prior to joining St. Luke's, she served as Executive Director at Fannie Battle Day Home for Children. Melanie also spent many years at United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, where she worked in fundraising and marketing. Prior to that, Melanie worked for various other nonprofit organizations in Chattanooga, including STARS (Students Taking a Right Stand) and The Partnership for Families, Children and Adults, Inc., in organizational functions including case management, administration, and fundraising. Melanie's passion is connecting children and families in under-served communities to services and programming that assist them in reaching their full potential.
