| Ashley's Experience: DTC's executive director, Ashley Mushamba, has been working with children for over 10 years in MNPS classrooms as a dance/academic teacher and local nonprofits such as the Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee, Gold Stars, and Moves & Grooves, Inc. In these positions, she has been responsible for directing and planning student showcases, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, managing class behavior, lesson planning, monitoring and assessing student growth and performance, meeting grant requirements, reporting outcomes, managing payroll, recruiting and hiring staff, and planning professional development for staff members and volunteers. In addition, the director has trained in dance for over 20 years and taught ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and cheerleading for over 10 years. | |
