Katherine's Experience: Katie O'Bryan is a non-profit management professional with over a decade in the field. She has a BA in American History, an MA in Historic Preservation and a PhD in Public History, all from Middle Tennessee State University. While completing her MA and PhD, she received training through the Center for Historic Preservation, a Center of Excellence that is widely recognized as one of the premier training programs in the country in the field of Historic Preservation. She comes to Travellers Rest with a strong consulting background, as well as site management experience via The Land Trust for Tennessee's Glen Leven Farm. Dr. O'Bryan is a native Tennessean who is passionate about the preservation and interpretation of our state's cultural resources.
