Mission

Rally Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, empowers volunteers across the country to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures.

Background

Childhood cancer is the #1 disease killer of kids in our country. Every day in America, two classrooms full of students-about 47 children-are diagnosed with cancer. However, less than 4% of the National Institutes of Health's cancer research budget goes to support pediatric research. Organizations like Rally exist to fill that gap.

Impact

For every dollar Rally receives, 93 cents supports our mission, according to audited financials. Since 2005, Rally has given $25M in funds to support childhood cancer research projects across the country and the world.

Needs

Together with sponsors, donors, community partners and volunteers, Rally Nashville works year-round to raise critical funds for childhood cancer research. Collectively, this allows for additional resources to stay local, providing families in Middle Tennessee the ability to receive assisted funding through the Rally Tennessee Family Emergency Fund.

Join Rally Nashville in the fight against childhood cancer and help us provide hope to local families. Please give today.

CEO Statement

In 2005 a 12-year-old boy named William was fighting a brain tumor for the second time in two years. A simple and impassioned request from one mom to another asked, "How can I help?" William's mom replied:"Raise money for childhood cancer research, and fund the best research wherever it may be."Rally's mission was born that day, and over the past 11 years Rally has given over $11 million in research grants, funding 120 cutting-edge projects and fellows across the country. Rally operates at 92% efficiency and has received Independent Charities Seal of Excellence for meeting the highest standards of program effectiveness, public accountability and cost effectiveness. Rally has also been recognized with the highest available ranking on GuideStar.

Board Chair Statement

Researchers from across the country apply for grants annually. Their applications go through a competitive peer review process by Rally's Medical Advisory Board, made up of top childhood cancer researchers throughout the United States and Canada. Utilizing the peer review process, Rally makes national grant selections from the highest scoring applications.
