Mission
To facilitate positive relationships with inner city, at-risk youth through mentorship, scholarship and educational programming that encourages growth, post-secondary success and maximizes offered opportunities.
Background
Founded in 2017, Impact Youth Outreach is a youth development and mentoring program servicing those disadvantaged, at-risk youth in urban communities nationwide. We will offer scholarship, mentorship, community service and educational programming. Catering to young men currently enrolled or preparing to enroll in high school, iYO is a program with tailored programmatic curricula that strives to strengthen the mental, emotional and educational foundation of its participants. Our goal is to deliver opportunities otherwise missed due to behavioral, environmental, educational or financial hardships.
Impact
Impact Youth Outreach currently services twenty Metro Public Schools and the juvenile detention center. The iYO team is developing the first workforce development program for underserved and at-risk youth in the city. Entering into the second year of operations, iYO strives to continue to add programs and curriculum to the organization to better serve the youth of Nashville.
Needs
After assessing and analyzing the current state of our youth in Davidson County, iYO has identified critical voids in programmatic curriculum and opportunities that addresses the apparent need for workforce development, employability, education and tutoring assistance, HiSET prep, therapy, behavior modification, peer mentoring, substance abuse counseling, and lifestyle navigation. With Nashville ranking nationally for crime statistics, iYO has identified these current needs to effectively provide services to this demographic. CEO Statement
Impact Youth Outreach is the passion project of a Nashville native. Classified as an at-risk youth over twenty years ago, I am passionate about the implementation of programs and curriculum that address and fill the critical voids that currently exists. We are more than a non-profit. We are a family of mentors and youth advocates who seeks to rectify issues that plague many communities and impact the youth through engaging, relatable and essential opportunities. We are a unique organization because of our relatability and empathetic focus and approach. As one of the few organizations who are currently dealing with the youth through the school system and in detention facilities, we are able to reach kids where they are at and evoke change, conversation, transparency and a feeling of safety.

With the demographic of youth that we serve, our geographic service map includes most of Middle Tennessee; however, we also mentor youth in East and WestTennessee.
