Description
There are more than 1.5 million children in the U.S. who experience homelessness and lack basic necessities, like a good pair of shoes. And we believe that every kid deserves to have their basic needs met. A child who has lost their home should not lose their ability to be a kid. In March 2020, Soles4Souls launched 4EveryKid to provide a pair of new athletic shoes to the 1.5 million children experiencing homelessness. 4EveryKid originated in Nashville through a partnership with the HERO program in Metro Nashville Public Schools, and we partner directly with McKinney-Vento homeless liaisons in the public school systems to help execute the program nationwide.

A good pair of shoes can change a child's trajectory. 54% of our partners report that youth have better school attendance once they get new shoes. 84% report an increase in confidence in shoe recipients, and 79% report an increase in physical activity when kids receive their new shoes.
