Description
• Healthy Gardens: empowers low-income and food-insecure families in underserved communities with family-owned 4'x8'ft. raised-bed gardens, along with all materials and education necessary to plant, maintain, and harvest nutritious vegetables right outside their door, supplementing thousands of meals with fresh vegetables annually.

• Thrive Studios Mobile Art Therapy: empowers children and youth living in at-risk communities with a healthy outlet for emotional expression through therapeutic art experiences designed to help them to overcome mental health obstacles, explore/recognize strengths, and cultivate healthy coping skills and resilience.

• Building Healthy Families: empowers families living in at-risk neighborhoods with the tools to lead healthy lifestyles, habits, and communication. Provides weekly women's support groups, hunger relief, access to personal and household items from our Caring Closet, and a Food Pantry operated in partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank.
Program Successes
Inspiritus historical Empowerment Programs continue to thrive in Middle Tennessee:

• Healthy Gardens: 204 new and sustained family gardens empowered 143 low-income households to produce 20,931 fresh produce that fed 558 individuals, providing essential hunger relief during a time when hunger insecurity was heightened due to COVID-19 impacts.

• Thrive Studios Mobile Art Therapy: 148 vulnerable children and youth benefited from Thrive Studios Art Therapy. In response to needs arising due to COVID-19, we also provided over 4,758 meals to our Thrive Studios youth and distributed 500+ take-home art kits.

• Building Healthy Families: Provided 7,000+ on-site meals and take-home fuel bags. Provided hunger relief for 2,000+ unduplicated individuals through Inspiritus Food Pantry.

Long-term Success
Inspiritus Empowerment Programs exist to deliver the following long-term results in Middle Tennessee:

• Healthy Gardens: bridge the gap in health equity by increasing physical and economic access to fresh produce in typically low-income & food-insecure communities.

• Thrive Studios Mobile Art Therapy: children and youth facing adverse childhood experiences in historically underserved and low-income communities foster the use of healthy artistic expression to promote growth, healing, and self-esteem.

• Building Healthy Families: families struggling with high levels of daily stress, fear, and frustration due to poverty, are empowered with tools and resources to forge strong peer relationships, develop positive parenting techniques, and improve mental/emotional health. The Food Pantry's long-term success includes an expansion of services to provide access to computers available to those needing to apply for public housing, jobs, snap benefits, insurance coverage, and more.
Short-term Success
• Healthy Gardens: at least 75% of families growing gardens will increase the consumption of vegetables in their diets by 1-4 servings each day during the growing season.

• Thrive Studios Mobile Art Therapy: at least 85% of children and youth will experience an increase in the use of arts as a healthy coping skill.

• Building Healthy Families: at least 75% of participants will explore and employ new tools for managing emotional health. The Food Pantry will distribute food to 2,500+ unduplicated individuals this year which is tracked through a Second Harvest Community Foodbank database.

Empowerment Programs' progress is assessed and quantified through a combination of participation records, staff and volunteer-written observations, and self-reporting program surveys.

Description
• Refugee Resettlement: intensive services include providing for the day-to-day needs of newly arrived refugees, i.e., an apartment, food, health screenings, obtaining a social security card, English as a Second Language enrollment for adults, school registration for children, and guidance during uncertain times. Inspiritus provides extended cultural orientation training to recently arrived refugees.
• Unaccompanied Children: ensures the safe release of unaccompanied children to their families by assessing potential placements for safety and stability and providing extended support to vulnerable families as they adjust to life in Tennessee.
• Trafficking Victims Assistance Program: Inspiritus helps foreign national survivors of human trafficking through trauma-informed, person-centered, comprehensive case management services. Facilitate timely access to vital services, i.e., emergency assistance, housing, safety planning, basic needs, health, legal, education, and employment.

Description
Inspiritus operates emergency Disaster Response and Recovery services that empower communities to lead successful responses and recoveries, and help vulnerable disaster survivors receive the support they need to recover after the storm. Our services provide volunteer management, debris removal, case management, and construction management to provide home repair and rebuild assistance to homeowners in need. Disaster Relief operates statewide, and current long-term recovery operations are underway in Waverly, TN, and Nashville, TN following flash floods and tornadoes in 2021.

Program Successes
Empowered by the financial support of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and other partners, Inspiritus:
• Repaired and rebuilt 50+ homes of survivors of the Cookeville, TN 2020 Tornadoes.
• In the 2021 Nashville floods, Inspiritus has led home construction repairs in Davidson and Wilson Counties in collaboration with the Nashville Long-Term Recovery Group.
• In Humphreys County, Inspiritus led response and now recovery efforts for Waverly Flood survivors, repairing 100+ homes from 2021-2023.
