Description
In 2019, MHCF launched Nashville Sites, a mobile-friendly website that provides free walking and driving tours of Nashville's historic and cultural sites.

​The website offers more than thirty walking and driving tours, such as "Seedy Side and Printers Alley," "Early Black Life and Culture" and "Jefferson Street," "Music Row Neighborhood,"
and "Women's History Highlights." All tours are written and researched by local experts, cost free and ad free, and contain written and audio narration and turn-by-turn directions.

Long-term Success
Sites will continue to add tours in each phase, including driving tours, as well as create lesson plans for tours. As the tours can be reached from your phone, desktop, tablet and more, they give people of all ages and mobilities access to tour the city and learn its history

Since 2019, on average 1200 people per month have taken tours on Nashville Sites.

Description
Free day long festival that helps owners and lovers of old houses learn more about quality products and services for older homes, and gain tips for planning and executing a renovation project. Highlights include hands on demonstrations and presentations by experts in their fields, along with exhibits from companies and artists experienced in working with old homes.

Understanding that paying tribute to positive achievements serves as an incentive to preserve historical buildings, MHCF in collaboration with Metro Historical Commission annually presents the Preservation Awards honoring outstanding efforts to safeguard Nashville's historic architecture. The awards recognize restored and rehabilitated buildings and structures built in 1963 or before, as well as new construction that harmonizes with a historic environment.

One day program in collaboration with Metro Historical Commission and Tennessee State University for more than 30 years that brings together historians, educators, students, and other individuals interested in how African Americans shaped the history of Nashville and Tennessee. Cultural entertainment and art play a prominent role in the conference, with speakers and performers coming from all works of life.
