CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
2020 is beginning on a positive note, but we still seek to grow our donor base. We are interested in selling our current property, Perian's Place, a post-recovery house, that was fully paid for by a private donor. It has significantly increased in value. We seek to expand the number of women we can house up to 4. In addition we seek to continue to foster animals surrendered to SAFPAW by those we serve, so we can get them paired with one of our rescue partners. This new house will be fully paid for when we move in. In addition we are seeking to add board members who are experienced in fund raising and promoting a non-profit that is as unique as SAFPAW, yet at times one where our dual mission is sometimes hard to understand. Our funding has, at times, been up and down but we are setting 2020-2021 in place to be one that sets us on a more professional path where our finances will be more upward in growth. We welcome any experienced professionals with a desire to work hard as a board member to contact us at safpawnashville@gmail.com. Our grant writing will continue, and we will continue to partner with foundations such as CFMT, who have been responsible for a big part of our successful programs. We have added a social media volunteer who is charged with seeing that our presence on social media grows. Facebook has brought in a lot of donations and awareness, and we are taking that success in a larger way to Twitter and Instagram. Non-profits must incorporate social media into fund raising, as it is where a lot of future success as a non-profit will be. |
