| The challenges facing Street Works programs are that of most non projects serving the disenfranchised. The participants have multiple needs. Street Works staff is very compassionate and empathetic. Some of our staff comes from the very situations in which the clients experience. This is not a job for most of them, and if it was, the agency could not afford them. Our staff spends countless hours with clients, transporting and feeding them, paying for necessities out of their own pockets and just loving on them until they are able to love on themselves. The challenges are enormous but the opportunities to address them are a blessing. Street Works thanks God for sending us the angels to handle them. |
