Description
The Intensive Residential (IR) treatment program is our highly structured 28-day on-site residential program for people struggling with SUD, firmly grounded in the principles of a traditional 12-step framework. The IR program's comprehensive treatment approach provides a refuge where patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs are addressed through food, on-site housing, individual and group therapy, 12-step group support meetings, and 24/7 monitoring. Clinically intensive programming occurs daily from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. We have a capacity of 36 in this program. Participants who complete our IR program can apply to stay at our Transitional Living facility for an additional 90 days as a part of their individualized continued care plan.

Patients enrolling in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) may have navigated previous treatments yet carry a high potential for relapse without vigilant monitoring and structured support. Samaritan extends our intensive outpatient services to men and women experiencing serious dysfunction in their lives because of SUD. The program emphasizes achieving and maintaining abstinence from alcohol and other drugs through a planned program of individual and group counseling sessions, alcohol and drug educational activities, and support group attendance. Each three-hour one-on-one session corresponds to each client's unique needs and is conducted on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Usually, patients come for anywhere between 18-24 sessions. The IOP's restorative influence has been temporarily paused to align with the development of our new facility, and will restart in early 2024.

This is a cost-effective solution for some patients if their withdrawal symptoms are non-life threatening. Most programs cannot afford to offer social model detox. Social detox currently has a capacity of four and will expand to eight.

| Samaritan's Intensive Residential program is a highly structured residential treatment program for men and women experiencing significant dysfunction in their lives as a result of chemical dependency. The dual diagnosis track targets those who have a mental illness with a co-existing substance dependence disorder, and are having difficulty managing both disorders simultaneously while in the community. The program's comprehensive treatment approach is designed to address the individual's physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Clinical services are provided by a multi-disciplinary staff which includes a medical director, licensed substance abuse counselors, LCSW, psychologist, psychiatrist and a nurse. The Transitional Living (halfway house) program is provided in a structured transitional treatment setting and is designed for those clients in need of extended residential support to successfully meet goals of recovery from chemical dependency. The program emphasis is on continued recovery from chemical dependency and development of personal skills and resources needed to maintain a sober and more independent lifestyle. In addition to continued alcohol and drug counseling, clients in the Transitional Living program receive job readiness counseling. Samaritan's recovery apartments, Bridgeway Crossings, provide safe, affordable, alcohol & drug free transitional housing to recovering adults. Conveniently located on bus lines, they offer housing, support meetings and other structured recovery activities in a serene, safe, and supportive environment deigned to preserve and promote the dignity of the persons served. The Outpatient Treatment Program provides both low intensity as well as intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment. |
